This proto shield was designed to allow placing of SMT as well as THT components. The special solder point pattern is suitable for SMD packages with pitch 1.27 mm (50mil), like SOIC, PSOP, passive components with packages 402, 603, 805, 1206, packages like SOT-89-3, SOT-143, SOT-23, SOT-223, SOT-235, SOT-343, MELF, and last but not least THT components with pitch 2.54 mm (100mil) including DIP/DIL

The PCB is 100% format compatible to Arduino Uno. It has a clean hole pattern, to have the maximum space available for free circuit design. No limitations of space by special circuit patterns. Of course all assigned Arduino ports have their solder points next to the header pins.

Material is FR-4, the board is double sided and components can be placed on both sides. The through holes are plated. Pitch of through holes is 2.54mm/100mil, through holes diameter is 0.75 mm. Surface tinned and with solder stop.

Four female headers with long pins allow the board to be stacked on an Arduino Uno board or on top of other shields. The pin length of the headers is 14.5mm. Also, a 3x2 pin GPIO header is provided to connect to the Arduino UNO GPIO. Altogether 5 headers.
