Developed by a Digital Technologies teacher in New Zealand, PConMe© is a discreet, self-contained virtual personal computer that you can program, install apps onto, go online and run command line, just like the real thing. Have fun and learn more about how a computer works without the worry of breaking a real computer! If you stuff up (and that’s part of the fun), just reinstall a fresh PConMe© software image and start again! Awesome.

PConMe© is not like other live installs where you need to reboot or reconfigure the host machine before you begin. It's been specially developed so you don't have to - just plug the USB stick into E: drive and away you go!

The device features Linux and Ubuntu 10.10 and the architecture also supports unfiltered internet access if available on the host machine. Doesn't work with Mac O/S sorry. But who knows - maybe you can develop your own version?
