What is it?

Nixie clock PCB (output format is 24 hours HH:MM + blinking dot).

In order to make your nixie clock work this board needs:

• 5V+-0,25V 0,5A power supply (it drains about 300mA)
• 32,768KHz input clock
• Two buttons which are used to set time
• High voltage source for your nixie tubes
• This board contains:
• 26 TTL/LS/F/ALS logic ICs (mix of western and USSR)
• 4 resistors
• 32 capacitors

Why did you make it?

It was designed as a practical implementation of logic circuit design course. It turned out to be a very entertaining project which actually worked very nicely. Board contains one error which is solved by cutting one wire and adding a bodge wire.

What makes it special?

This board is entirely TTL based and has no programmable options. In addition to that, it needs an external clock frequency which makes it a nice board to test your oscillator implementation on.
