Teensy 4.0 and 4.1 compatible Dual CAN Hat with an onboard 12V to 5V regulator. Perfect for automotive projects or anything that uses a nominal 12V system. The 5V input powers the Teensy via the Vin pin, then uses the 3.3V output pin to power the CAN Transceivers.

PCB Includes

• 2x 120ohm Termination Resistors
• 1x 5-Way Pin Header for Teensy Attachment
• 1x 3-Way Pin Header for Teensy Attachment

Device Uses:

• CAN Blocker - Filter messages between two independent CAN Networks. Ideal for interfacing two different busses or "spoofing" data between a device and the network it is on.
• CAN Bridge - Allows for two independent networks with different Baud Rates or ID Types to be virtually tied together. Can also be used as a CAN Repeater or Translator for dataloggers.

Software

• The FlexCAN T4 official Teensy CAN Library is supported with sample code available upon request.

CAN Termination

• The Dual CAN Hat has provisions for termination resistors to be added to either network via through holes. Two 120ohm termination resistors are included with each sale. See Product Images:

Connecting to the Dual CAN Hat

• Interfacing with the Dual CAN Hat is via soldered through-hole wires towards the rear of the PCB
• The connection with 4 wires is CAN 1, the connection with 2 wires is CAN 2
