This full featured midi adapter allows for direct midi I/O to be sent to and from cores which support this feature including the AtariST and ao486 core.

Real-time status lights indicate both in and out signals along with a separate led for power.

This PCB conveniently fits the standard MiSTer form factor and plugs into the I/O board USB3 I/O port.

I’ve tested this core triggering outboard gear from Notator and Cubase in the ST core and the performance is spectacular. Midi timing is preserved perfectly since it’s directly attached to the Cyclone V I/O pins. Midi input is also perfect with no latency.

This device can of course be used for playing Midi in PC games which support midi playback to external units. In situations like this only a midi out connection is required.

This interface also provides a true "thru" interface allowing for midi in to be passed directly to the thru port for daisy chaining additional devices.
