PWM is short for Pulse Width Modulator.Because of its special performance, it is often used as dc circuit in the lamps and lanterns that move light or dc motor speed control. This circuit is made by using the principle of pulse width modulation (PWM) controller of the motor. Adopting this kind of way to control the motor speed has two advantages:

1. It is mainly by changing the output pulse duty ratio, the load change on the average time from 0 to 100%, in order to achieve the purpose of adjusting load brightness/speed. And using common resistance dropping speed, the maximum output power of load for power supply 50% of its power, the power supply must provide more than 71% of the power output, the 21% of consumption on the resistance of pressure drop and heat loss.
