This is a serial terminal based on FabGL library.

Supports following terminal types: ANSI, VTxxx, ADM 3A, ADM 31, Hazelttine 1500, Osborne, Kaypro ant VT52.
German, Italian, UK and US keyboard layouts.
Configurable 5 Volts serial port.
Two PS/2 ports for Keyboard and Mouse.
One VGA output, up to 64 colors.
One audio out (line level, not amplified).
Powered from USB port can power a Z80 board, like the MBC2.
Bottom 8 PINs connector, with RX, TX, GND, 5V signals (also compatible with MBC2-Z80 board).
Upper 8 PINs connector 6 GPIOs (3.3V volts).
Preprogrammed with FabGL Serial Terminal, but reprogrammable with any compatible FabGL program. For example you can run VIC-20 emulator with this board.
Can be connected to a 3.3V device (like Raspberry pi) using IO2 pin as TX (see photo).

Differences with FabGL development board:

misses SD Card.
exposes only following GPIOs: 36, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17.

Note to program this board you have to disconnect serial port jumper (IO2-TX-IO12).

Includes PCB, ESP32-WROOM-32 and all required components and connectors already assembled.

The board must be powered up from the micro USB of ESP32.

Awesome product

I have only used it as a terminal so far, but it's really great at that. Works perfect both with raspberry pi but also with modern PC's if you add a USB->COM-port converter for a few bucks.

Great little device!

I bought this device so I would have a simple ANSI terminal to use for BBS fun. It is well designed and seems to have a nice feature set. The only problem I encountered is figuring out how to install different firmware on it for the various example modules, as it came with the Serial firmware installed. After a very frustrating experience trying to upload the different firmwares using Arduino, I finally figured out how to upload the firmware successfully. Now I have the Wifi terminal running, although it doesn't look great on a widescreen 16:9 monitor. I'm also still not sure what the single jumper on the board does, but I just leave it in the default position. But it works and is fun to use! Shipping to the US was relatively quick, although no information was available while in transit. But overall its a great value and great device. Can't wait to see what software improvements come in the future!

To flash a new firmware just remove the jumper (that select GPIO2 or GPIO12 for TX out). It is not necessary to remove the ESP32 board.

works well

I've had to reflash it a few times when I get an invalid configuration..seems the smallest font doesn't like something and I'm not sure what else to do...otherwise it's great...glad I ordered it, thank you for making it!
