Great little mixer, easy to build. One crucial advantage for me was the included solder which is very high quality and let me think about changing and use this in future.
Unfortunately Rakit mismatched the resistors and delivered no 100k but too much 10k. I complained via tindie message but got no response (after 4 days). I ordered two Rakimixes and both were wrong packed. Fortunately I had some in stock and could finish and use the mixer.

If you are like me and are recovering from a bad case of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome), this kit is the prescription (and an absolute bargain!)

Suppose you went crazy earlier this year and have amassed a pile of... oh I dunno; Korg Volcas. You now have a problem on your hands; How do you get all these compact sound machines combined into one mix? You could buy a Volca Mix for $200 and get 3 channels (I couldn't talk myself into parting with the cash just to keep the same footprint). Or you could grab a 4-channel mixer with a built-in DSP from Amazon for $100. It works pretty darn well, but it's a too bulky and heavy. Not ideal.

Enter the RakiMix. It's about the size of a credit card, sits on little plastic standoff legs, and is powered by 9v DC. A wall wart power adapter will work but the kit comes with a very adequate 9v battery clip. For the price of the amazon mixer, I can buy 2 or 3 of these and chain them together. For the price of the Volca Mix, I can buy 4 or 5.

I don't know what else to say. If you want a basic, compact, easy to use mixer, there's nothing else that compares. They are also fun to build.

Hypothetically, you could stack 4 of these into the signal chain with your $100 amazon mixer, and multiplex your mix to 16 tracks (20 tracks if you include the RakiMix's aux input). Alternatively, you could pull this out of your pocket on jam night and be the hero when your crew runs out of mixer inputs. It's basically like a roll of sonic duct tape. Just sayin'... Or maybe it's more like a sonic Medusa, but instead of the snakes turning people to stone, they zap detuned sawtooth waves into the air like something from Nicola Tesla's daydreams. Or maybe you could nickname your RakiMix Cerberus, the multi-headed dog who loves to chew on juicy bass bones. I'm running out of pop-culture mythology references. Something something ...Zeus? Enjoy your RakiMix. That's what it's there for!

If you're even a little comfortable with soldering (I mean, you're on Tindie. You probably are?) this is a great little daisychainable summing mixer.
I needed it to sum the volca percussion synths i have on my desk in a little mini-DAWless set up I faff about with when i'm struck with inspiration, and it's absolutely fantastic for what i needed.

I would highly recommend this kit for soldering practice too, it's all thru-hole parts and the instructions are easy to follow.
