Read More…It is a ESP 8266 based, wifi-controlled module using a smartphone that can control a wall-mounted socket via power relay. At the touch of a button on the smartphone interface the wall-socket is powered or not, as desired. The module has been built to fit into a fake cover for home socket modules. Can charge loads up to 3500W. The first photo shows the product as it will be delivered, the other two show an installation mode in your modular socket

It's the smallest model I've ever seen on the market. It can be inserted directly into the device it controls Socket_WiFi could measures the socket internal temperature by adding by the user a 10K NTC termistor, glued on the back of socket. At over 60 degrees Celsius internal temperature, the module disconnects the socket to protect the house from a possible fire. High temperature indicates possible weak contact and the potentially hazardous situation. Another possibility is to attach a current measurement sensor, turning the module into a power monitor. All these modifications will be available on github (hardware and software) Internal temperature or Power / current could be displayed through wifi to a MQTT broker.
