What is it?

Get real-time wireless 3D positioning, inertia, temperature, and barometric data. Connect it with your Android, Windows, or iPhone device and build apps with Node.js, PhoneGap, Cordova, MeteorJS, and more!*

Must support Bluetooth 4.0, (specifically, Bluetooth Low Energy), such as the Google Nexus 5, iPhone 5, and newer Samsung Galaxy S devices. First generation Google Nexus 7 tablets didn't seem to have Bluetooth Low Energy enabled, even though the hardware supports it.

Why did you make it?

We built the IMUduino to give makers the ability to get real-time 3D data out of their projects, while keeping it Arduino compatible for simplicity's sake. We want to bridge the Robotics and the Modern Web.

What makes it special?

It's small. It's powerful. It works with almost any BT 4.0 device. It's featured on the Atmel Blog http://atmelcorporation.wordpress.com/2014/08/05/getting-up-close-and-personal-with-the-imuduino-btle/

The IMUduino board uses 3.3V, weighs only 2.7 grams, emulates USB Keyboard and Mouse input, and can fit just about anywhere. Power it with a 3V3 coin cell, or a USB power source! The on-board regulator can handle up to 10V to output 3.3V.

No other Arduino Leonardo compatible board on the market comes close to the small size and feature set of the IMUduino.

NOTE: We are now shipping revision 1.0.6. The latest revision is now a single sided 4 layer PCB, and is 34.6 mm by 16.2mm
