Read More…In short, it's a 24 channel ADC and 8 channel Pulse Width Modulation generator on one single board.
12 bit, 24 channel single ended Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) with 8 channel 16-bit around half MHz PWM output or less bits with higher frequency. Communicates with Arduino, Raspberry Pi using I2C bus.
The PWM generator is very high-frequency which means with a proper 2nd Order Passive RC Low-Pass filter it can give you a nice DC voltage like a DAC. If you're fancy you can use a Sallen & Key filter. The PWM output can be used to control any LED driver, motor driver, simple MOSFET gate driver etc. The frequency can be reconfigured upon on request.
The power supply requirement is DC 5V. IO pins are 3.3V which makes it compatible with the latest Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, Teensy, ESP32 or any other Dev boards available nowadays.
It's a byproduct of one of my projects, but it's versatile enough to share with the community.
With the proper header, multiple boards are stackable. There are already mounting holes on the board if needed.
One special feature is that you can select any of the 112 unique (7-bit) I2C addresses if you respect the I2C specification. And, the possibility is there to exploit all 128 addresses if you want it. So basically in a multi-board configuration, theoretically the available channels are HUGE.
On board, there is a high precision voltage reference which gives you more accurate readings.
Simple Arduino example is provided after purchase. I2C signal diagrams available too, so you can port it to any system if it has an I2C port.
For Arduino, Linux C and Python examples please click on the 'source code' link. I2C signal diagrams available too, so you can port it to any system if it has an I2C port.
Color of the PCB can be different due the different PCB manufacturer.
