As a safety precaution, the front and back plate will need to be screwed together when you receive it. This is so the battery is not connected to the Heltec V3. But the process to do this is made very easy since the allen key is included to use for the two screws. Either watch the YouTube video that goes over the generals of the device or follow these instructions. 

Connect the battery plug (Clipped to the back plate case) to the Heltec V3 (Clipped to the front plate case). There is only one orientation that could be plugged where the indent is facing up.
Attach the two parts together which have ridges to ensure the two are lined up perfectly.
Place one screw in the top right hole and the other in the bottom left hole. Use allen key to tighten the screws.
Using the device without an antenna could damage it. Please use the 915MHz antenna included or your own ensuring it is 915MHz.
