OLD DESCRIPTION

What is it?

It's an external iButton GPIO module for Flipper Zero. It fixes the most well-known problem of Flipper Zero and allows you to emulate iButton keys on any reader, not only specific ones compatible with Flipper's built-in emulator. No more need to spend minutes trying to catch a good contact and open a door - just apply the key and come in. It also decreases the possibility to be spotted if you (suddenly) try to clone someone else's key... Well, let's don't violate the law.

Variants

There are two variants of this module (with a switch and without it).

The version without a switch is a usual adapter. Just plug it into your Flipper Zero and emulate iButton as usual - no additional configuration needed.

The version with a switch has a built-in rewritable memory chip (RW1990). This allows you to use the adapter as a standalone key if you need to enter the building without attracting too much attention to your Flipper. To use it as a dumb adapter, set the switch to F which will connect the output directly to GPIO. To use rewritable memory, you'll need to set the switch to R state. Note that you won't be able to write the chip in this state while it's connected to GPIO - you'll need to touch Flipper's built-in contacts with this adapter to write the key. Next it'll work as a usual key even w/o Flipper (while the switch is set to R).
