Details

The sketch loaded onto this Atmega328P-PU is specifically programmed to detect human motion. Movements will trigger this sensor within about 5 feet. An alarm tone and two blinking indicator signals are produced upon detection

Additional components are easy to find and likely inexpensive. These include jumper wires (antennas), an LED, and a piezo-speaker which most of us tech masters have in our tool belt. Feel free to experiment!

• Pin 12 = LED ( DigitalWrite Signal 2.5 second ON 2.5 second OFF cycle)
• Pin 9 = Siren (500 to 1000 Hertz sweep)

• Pin 8 = DigitalWrite Signal 2.5 second ON 2.5 second OFF cycle (For interfacing)

• Pins A1 & A2 = Dual Antenna Cable (Use two jumper wires)

For optimum performance, we recommend testing our sensor’s detection algorithm by inserting this Atmega328P-PU into an Arduino Uno powered via USB from a USB to wall-outlet adapter. Alternatively you may test it via USB connection through the USB port on a computer powered by a mains AC-DC wall adapter. Our sensors utilize a phantom loop between the mains AC, capacitively coupled to you or whatever is to be detected, and the device’s input to register a voltage above a threshold which sets the input into the ON-state.
