What is a YawMod?

Modifying the DJI Phantom yaw speed enables operators to get slow, cinematic shots when turning left or right on the Phantom’s Y-axis. The yaw stick in its original setting requires the operator to be very sensitive when trying to turn slowly, and frankly this just gets very frustrating. The YawMod Pro kit solves this issue and is a user-friendly, plug’n’play module with the most precise parts available.

What is the purpose of the kit?

Whether your goal is to make cinematic shots chasing cars and other objects or creating perfect panoramas, this YawMod kit allows you to achieve easily controllable pan on the first pass.

What makes it special?

Easy installation, high quality parts and reliability. YawMod Pro boards are 30mm (1.15″) x 30mm (1.15″) each and fit inside the controller with ease. Resistors with a tolerance of just 0.1% ensure that your left and right yawing will always be exactly the same. Only original Molex connectors are used for quick, durable connection to the controller board with no soldering required. This version of the kit includes two rotational switches (for pitch and for yaw), each allowing six positions – Off (standard speed) + 5 incrementally slower speeds.

This yaw modification does not require any wire snipping, soldering or guess work in the controller, and there are no changes to the Phantom itself. We’ve worked hard on our design to create a mod that is as easy to install as possible.
