Retro-style your tree this year with a through-hole PCB with lights and sound powered by an 8-bit ATtiny25 microcontroller!
Pressing the button wakes up the chip, plays a tune, and puts on a light show. The show will repeat until you press the button again, putting the circuit to long-life sleep.
Except for the soldered chip option, the ATtiny25 chip can be removed and reprogrammed using a simple Arduino-as-ISP programming circuit (documentation included). The stock firmware is open source, too.
Includes CR1220 3V Lithium battery.
Lead-free RoHS-compliant design.
Note: The video shows the 2020 design. The version for sale has a date-agnostic logo and URL at the bottom as shown in the renders. Also, the renders do not show the three colors of LEDs — yellow at top and alternating red and green on the sides — that exist in the final product.
