What is it?

A VFO knob for the Yaesu FT817 / FT818 QRP Radio. The stock VFO knob on the FT817 is a bit on the small size, and doesn't have a decent sized dimple to allow for rapid frequency changes. This knob takes inspiration from the FT101 and other radios 'back in the day', which provided a crank-handle to facilitate rapid frequency excursions.

Printed in Black PLA (though I can do custom colours on request) Requires 1x 10mm M2.5 bolt to secure the crank handle and the M34 grub screw from the stock knob.To be clear, these are not included. The listing is for the 3D printed parts only.

Why did you make it?

Because there is nothing available that provides these features. Specifically the swivel crank handle, which makes rapid changes in frequency easier.
