Digital RGB to Analog RGB converter (DAC) for Commodore 128 and IBM PC MDA/CGA/EGA

What makes it special?

Exact CGA palette (handles brown correctly). DB9M input and HD15F output. DIP switches to select the mode (MDA green, MDA white, CGA, EGA) and composite vs. separate sync. Compatible with the Gonbes GBS-8200/8220 for a complete C128 80 column to VGA/LCD solution.

Requirements

Requires 5V DC for power. Board has a micro USB connector and can be powered with any 5V USB charger. Alternatively, power can be taken from the GBS-8200 P9 (please make sure you power the GBS-8200 with 5V as the converter will be damaged by higher voltage).

This is not a scan converter - Requires a monitor that can sync to 15KHz or a scan doubler

Beautiful results on Commodore 128

I'm using the CGA2RGBv2 with a Commodore 128 for its 80-column RGBI port, plugged into an OSSC (Open Source Scan Converter). The picture is emulator-clear - razor sharp and flicker free once OSSC is properly configured. I don't have any 15kHz capable displays, which is why I needed to use CGA2RGBv2 in conjunction with an upscaler. HIGHLY recommend and good documentation on the seller's website https://gglabs.us/

I would have liked an optional pre-made USB-A power cable to be available for an extra charge, but wasn't hard to make once I borrowed the appropriate tools.
