What is it?

PCB to build a galvanically isolated power supply from a single 3.3 or 5V or from the optional mini USB connector. Output Range is from 3.3V to 40V. Several symmetric voltages can also be generated i.e. +/-10V. The output is configured by selecting a transformer and the rectification topology. To keep the circuit simple the main converter is unregulated. For precise output voltages footprints for LDOs are provided. Bare PCB. Requires Assembly.

Why did you make it?

While working in the lab it's often useful to have a small isolated power supply handy. The circuit is simple and robust thanks to the Texas Instruments SN6501 transformer driver.

What makes it special?

A large range of output voltages can be generated using easy to obtain off the shelf transformers.
