What is it?

Z1 Mini is a development board based on cc2530 chip (Ebyte module). With this board and a configurable firmware, it is possible to build various custom zigbee end devices (switches, buttons, relays, temperature, humidity, gas, co2, energy meter, three-phase meter, ADC, PWM, modbus and various combinations of them). The board can use standard cc2530 (4dBm module E18-MS1-PCB) or amplified cc2530 type (20dBm module E18-MS1PA2-PCB). It is provided with standard ICSP connector; the firmware can be flashed using CC-debugger, SmartRF04EB or a Raspberry used as programmer. Created devices are all supported in zigbee2mqtt and Homeassistant and works also as zigbee router.

Why did you make it?

So you can finally build your own zigbee devices with the same or even more simplicity you had with Tasmota or Esphome so far! You can combine multiple sensors, switches, relays etc. on only one zigbee board. You can free your wifi network by using custom zigbee devices for your smart home.

Exactly as advertised - saved me so much time

Thank you so much for this little board. It works exactly as advertised - great build quality. I was up and running with my custom Zigbee device within minutes.
Glad I bought 2, one is commissioned, while I experiment with the other, then when Im happy with my config, just swap them over.
