What is it? New generation controller for addressable led strips/strings, based on ESP32 for smooth transitions, fast response and high number of pixel handling. Can be powered 5VDC or 12VDC to match the output to the LEDs connected, it has 8 separate digital channels to control 4 strips with DATA+CLK or 8 with DATA only or any combination you like (as far as all works at the same voltage); it has 4 separate power outputs (same voltage than VIN) each fused and with protection diodes. External relay connector (3 pins) to cut power to the LED when off (please use good quality relay that works with 3.3V signal of ESP32, many chinese modules cannot be used due to poor quality and also 5V required to activate relay).

Why did you make it? After good success of my previous WLED board I decided to make a new boosted version, still compatible with WLED firmware but can be used with any firwmare that allowd GPIOs configuration (Tasmota, ESPHome, ESPEasy, etc.)

What makes it special? The board has all features to avoid any issues that may show if addressable LEDs are driven directly by ESP32:

• Module can be powered by 5VDC or 12VDC power supply in order to provide wider compatibility
• Data signals are boosted from 3.3V to 5V with high speed LLC in order to have better stability of the signal
• You can add a temperature sensor on the PCB (compatible with DS18B20)
• You can connect an external push button to operate with the LED (WLED compatible)
• You can add an IR receiver TSOP38238 to use IR remote to control the board
• You can connect an external relay controlled by the software to cut power to the LEDs when off (please note that relay module must be of good quality and must work with 3.3V signal, unfortunately many chinese modules cannot)
• ESP32 WROOM included, you can select with onboard PCB antenna or with pigtail connector and external antenna
• 4 VCC Outputs all with separate blade fuse for fast replacement (board are shipped with 2x5A and 2x10A fuses) and protection diode inline for each output
• Suitable capacitors to smooth the power output and avoid color glitches or LED malfunction
• Compatible with any LED type that requires 1 pin (DATA only) o 2 pins (CLOCK+DATA)
• You can have regular screw terminals or angled terminals with fast disconnection (see pictures)
• Unused GPIOs are available on the PCB for future expansions or to add extra features
• WLED latest version already preloaded for quick start!
• If OTA update fails or you want to change firmware you can easily connect the board to your PC using the microUSB port and the onboard UART converter based on CH340
