What is it?

This is an expansion board (or 'hexpansion') for the 'Tildagon' badge sold at Electromagnetic Field in 2024. This board breaks out the GPIO connection available on the expansion connector, and has an pass-through edge conector so you can monitor data flows as they pass from a Hexpansion to the Badge. Why did I make it?

After the event, I really wanted to try and tinker with the badge more, but didn't have any way to do so. There was a gentleman ("The Untitled Goose”) who was selling these breakouts in the EMF Night Market, but only created a few and didn't want to set up a store, so he gifted the design to the community.

The economics of having a few PCBs created, and because they needed to be ENIF finished and 1MM thick which isnt common, meant it wasnt economically viable to get a small number created, so I ordered a few along withthe Pins and Edge connectors as I thought others may be interested too.

NOTE: This is a kit, You need to do the soldering yourself, the kit includes the PCB, the pins and edge conenctor. There are pads on the boards that can be used to add a LED to indicate power, but the required resister and LED are NOT included in the kit. You would need a SMD SMT 0603 resister and SMD 0805 LED if you want to add a power LED, but “The Untitled Goose” mentioned that while useful they are a bit bright and don’t really add anything other than bling.

Note you DO NOT get a Badge with this, you need your own badge from EMF.
