For sale are new-made reproductions of the Ohio Scientific 560Z Processor Lab board. These boards were produced from 4000 DPI scans of an original Ohio Scientific 560Z board and are 1:1 with respect to trace and hole placement. They were run on standard thickness FR4 stock, which is thicker than original OSI stock, to reduce the excessive flex experienced with original Ohio Scientific products.

The OSI 560Z supports the following features:

• IM6100 Processor (PDP-8 on a chip)
• Z80 Processor
• Separate SYS bus for onboard processors
• 4K memory "porthole" between SYS bus and host OSI system
• Software emulation of I/O devices for both processors
• Software single-step and control of CPUs via OSI driver package
• Space for prototyping (onboard RAM, third CPU, etc)

The OSI 560Z is an unsual board, even for its day. This board allows the parallel execution of code on either an IM6100 or Z80. The IM6100 is particularly interesting as it uses the PDP-8 instruction set, allowing an OSI system to execute PDP-8 software! We do not currently offer a parts kit for this board.
