What is it?
This is a very simple board to connect a Raspberry Pi (any model, Zero, 1, 2, 3, A, B, B+) to an IMST iC880a LoRaWAN concentrator board. Nothing fancy, just a way to get rid of the jumper wires. This version is sold as a kit (i.e. the headers are not soldered)
Some users started to notice that connecting the boards with jumper wires caused interference and the concentrator would suddenly restart at random times. This boards helps to solve that problem, and it also makes it way easier to connect the boards and build your own LoRaWAN gateway, because counting pins and wiring correctly is hard! ;)
What makes it special?
Nothing at all. It's the simplest boards ever. But it gets the job done.

Working perfectly, great support
Its working perfectly. There was a difficulty in tracking the product at some point of time, but when I had written an email, it was sorted out in no time. The support provided was excellent. Documentation, when we see from a gateway point of view, its perfect; but when we see from a backplane point of view, there's a scope for improvement. I did figure out finally, but a step by step instruction is desirable (especially for a novice like me).

Great backplane, thanks for your work! Does what it is supposed to be doing very well. Definitely recommending it over any kind of lengthy wires and will use it for my next kit as well. Prompt shipping without any hassles to GY, pricing very good. A set of matching spacers and soldering markers would make it the perfect offer.

Great product, excellent support
The board works as advertised. All required pieces are included. I would only add a few spacers to make the final product a bit more robust. A shipping problem which was caused by the post office and not the sender was treated with clarity and responsibility by the sender.

Good quality product, great purchase
As advertised: it gets the job done. No extra features. The parts required to get started are included. Labels on the board make it easy to place the conntecors the right way. Order and delivery also went through without problems. Well worth its price.

The board makes it easy to work with the IMST board & the PI
The adapter board is high quality and fits the IMST 880a perfect. All the needed pinheaders are included. The only thing that could be added would be a pin header for the serial console (2(+), 6(-),8(tx), 10(rx)) of the pi. I did this for me with just 4 wires eding in a Dupont case fixed with superglue on the board. Works for me.

Misleading photos in this page
My version is rev 1.2 and the raspberry label is on the side of the connector where I need to solder the bit 13x2 connector in the kit while in the photos the raspberry label is on opposite side. This is the second backplane kit I buy, I threw away the first one because I looked at the photos and soldered the raspberry connector on the wrong side.

Having an issue with installing the software for TTN-gateway but it turned out is was not related to the backplane. Nevertheless Gonzalo gave me great support to solve the problem. Besides he sold me a perfect backplane :-)

Great item, just made setting up a LoRa gateway so easy!
This item was made to save time connecting the iC880a to a raspberry pi and it does that perfectly without any hassle or issues. There's very good documentation and a couple of videos out there on exactly how to use this, it seems to be the preferred option for many people and it's also for me.

Simple and handy backplane kit for the IMST iC880a
A great little backplane to help cut down on jumper wires and make things more robust, comes with all the headers needed. Now I just need to 3d print a nice custom case.

I wonder how they can sell this board, including ALL of the connectors, for this price!
The barrell connector fits perfectly with the one included in the TP-Link TL-POE10R, so you can easily power the gateway through the ethernet cable, leaving the Raspberry micro-USB alone.
Maybe they should rise the price a bit and include some M2,5 spacers and screws needed for a robust installation.
The shipment was done within hours from the payment, but it got stuck a couple of weeks in my country's customs, so beware of your customs!

A must have
Very simple board to fit the concentrator to you Pi. You need it!
Be warned that the quality of the power supply is very important to get the iC880A reliably working.

Everything you'd expect and more.
Absolutely professional PCB finish, easy to assemble if you know what end of the soldering iron is hot ;-)
Perfect fit for the IMST board and the raspberry.
If you deploy this, get an additional 1cm board spacer with screw/nut to keep the backplane from short-circuiting on the raspberry 2/3 micro USB port. The holes you need are already there and perfectly aligned. Alternatively use a adhesive rubber spacer like used for PCB mounting.

Very convenient
Easy to solder pins on, easy to mount. Pictures are realistic. Great product!
An improvement for future could be to add a hole in order to ease mounting on a Raspberry Pi 2.
