What is it?

Another Flipper Zero extension board that allows to connect NRF24/CC1101 and ESP8266 modules.

Why did you make it?

To extend the functionality of my flipper zero

What makes it special?

The board has two hot swap sockets. First socket to connect NRF24 or CC1101 module. The second socket to connect ESP-01 or similar ESP8266 module so you can easily connect ESP8266 modules with different pre-flashed firmwares to your flicker zero. The ESP-01 module is connected through UART to the Flipper Zero. You can store the different .bin files for ESP8266 on your flipper zero and flash the ESP-01 module with the firmware of your choice on the go when its needed.

Soldered, ready to use dev board without modules. The modules are available as additional options.

Features

• first port allows you to connect NRF24 or CC1101 (since both modules have equal pinout)
• second port allows you to connect ESP-01 ESP8266 modules
• board has two buttons to control the ESP-01 Module, mode (connected to gpio0) and reset. So you can flash firmwares to your ESP-01 module directly from flipper zero.

To put the esp-01 module into the flashing mode: hold the mode button and hit the reset button, then release the mode button.

To flash with flipperzero-esp-flasher: Select the "S3" option first and then Bootloader (0x0), browse and select your bin. Push and hold the mode button, select the [>] Flash - slow, it should begin to flash the module. You can release the mode button when the flashing has started. If the flashing fails due to connection error, its better to close the app and then open it to start flashing again.

When the flipperzero-esp-flasher app is open the ESP8266 module will receive power, when you close the app, the power delivery to ESP8266 will be cut. Apps for other modules like "Sub-GHz" will also enable the power delivery to ESP8266 module.

Which .bin files can be flashed to the ESP-01 module.

• All .bin files that were compiled for ESP8266 1M memory.

Which .bin files can be flashed to the ESP-01X module.

• Since it has more memory, it supports almost all .bin files that were compiled for ESP8266/ESP8285 module or d1 mini boards. i.e. Deauther 2, Evil Portal, Evil-Twin AP, EspLink etc.
