This is a super small and easy to get started with, WiFi WLED controller for people who hate soldering, or don't want a mess of jumper cables everywhere.

My Dad and I worked together to design this board because I liked the idea of using WLED for my LED projects, but I personally don't like to solder (if I can avoid it). And pretty much every tutorial I could find online at the time, looked a little more involved than I wanted if I was going to be installing them all over my home, with soldering and jumper cables everywhere.

So we set about to make the easiest controller possible to get started with. And through many iterations, we wound up with a rather elegantly simple design which did away with the need for things like level shifters. Because the whole board was so small and easy to power, it could live neatly right on the start of a strip in a 3D printed case or even inside a diffuser.

They also run from a wide range of voltages (4-36v) so they don't need to separately be powered from USB when working with higher voltage strips. And includes push fit Wago connectors which means the ONLY tool you need is something to press them down with and insert the wires.

All our boards use the ESP32-S3 variant (usually with the 4M flash and 2M SPI RAM) which give them that extra bit of oomf if you should choose to use them for other projects. And they usually also now typically include a TDK ICS 43434 microphone for audio reactive effects and more. They also happen to also make a great starter board for Home Assistant satellites.
