These little PCBs allow you to plug two LEDs into the power bus of your Eurorack case. This is a very simple way to backlight translucent panels - like the Hack DSKY

Included with each PCB is an 16 way female header and 1N4007 diode. This leaves the choice of current limiting resistor (controlling brightness) and LED type up to you. If soldered standing out from the PCB, the LED legs can be bent and aimed to achieve even backlighting.

The 1N4007 diode provides reverse polarity protection for the LEDs, so you can't damage them by plugging the header in the wrong way. A stripe on the PCB indicates the side connected to -12V.

I recommend using diffused LEDs. They provide wider, more even coverage. Be sure to select a big enough resistor so you do not exceed the forward current rating of your LEDs - check the datasheet. I recommend one LED Backlight Module per 4HP.
