This DCZia badge calls back to electronic project kits of yesterday to bring you a badge that is both a work of art and a learning tool.

The badge comes with a printed booklet walking you through how each circuit works and how to hook it up. No prior knowledge of electronics is needed, we'll walk you through it!

The badge ships as a partial kit - all the through-hole parts still need to be soldered, so you will need a soldering iron and pliers or wire cutters. The wooden box also serves as a soldering aid to make the assembly a little easier. Instructions are included.

Learn Electronics

This kit focuses heavily on analog electronics. Learn how transistors work by building an 'electronic cat', for instance. Learn about resistors, capacitors and diodes.

Hidden Challenges

Contained within the product are some hidden challenges. Can you solve the clues?

Open Source

The design, circuits, and everything else is available for you to modify.

Shipping

The badge will arrive in a cardboard box that is 6"x6"x3" and it weighs approximately 1 pound. The badge board itself is approximately 5" x 4", and is just inside of 6" x 6" when installed in the wooden box.

Multiple shipping options are available. The cheap Priority Mail option -should- arrive in 1-3 business days. The Priority Express option claims a guaranteed 2 day delivery. Note that the time it takes for us to pack it up and get it in the mail is not included and will likely be about a week.
