This badge is about 100x120mm in size, and includes:

Fancy artwork!
A 4x4 grid of clicky clicky Gateron Blues - CherryMX clones
Translucent key caps
RGB underlighting with sk6812s 'neopixel' LEDs
A 128x60 OLED screen
2 SAO connectors
1 Minibadge socket
Powered by a ESP32-WROOM32
USB interface for programming, compatible with Arduino for buttonless programming
A SD card socket
Powered by 3xAA batteries or via USB
Optional audio module header - detect noise! No code currently implemented for this, however.

The ESP32 has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wifi for all your wireless needs. All source and design is fully open source and available via our github.

As delivered, the badge has a few modes of operation, for scanning for other BLE enabled badges, displaying color patterns, a pixel picker mode, and more. Development is active, and we plan to release some updates over time.

A future adapter that will plug into your minibadge socket will make this badge appear as a standard USB keyboard so you can use it with your computer. I'll announce the availability of this add-on once it is complete.

This badge by default is shipped as a kit. All the SMD work is complete, but it is up to you to complete the through hole assembly of:

Battery box
Switches
OLED display
Audio module (optional)
SAO and Minibadge sockets

It's pretty easy to assemble, but if you just want a complete badge, I've made an option available for you.

Beautiful Badge

Very easy to assemble. I ended up switching out the switches I got with Hako Violets. They were a little snug but did snap into the carrier plate and matched the PCB footprints perfectly. Very solid PCB!

Top 5 #badgelife 2018

Can't wait to get in and mess around with the firmware on this bad boy. Here's a thought -- I wonder, if you added a couple of small components, how hard it would be to give it audio OUTPUT capability and make it emulate, in a glorious RGB homage, an old-school BLUE BOX? If you run with this idea I get a free upgrade. ;-)
