Read More…A kit based on a custom PCB board to build your QRP dipole antenna. The kit contains all you need to build your own balun (PCB, FT50-43 toroid, 100pF capacitor, BNC connector and magnet wire for the toroid).
This version also has a current balun in line with the 1:1 voltage balun, which should increase efficiency in case the dipole cannot be mounted completely symmetrically (eg. legs have different heights or ground is different).
This is a kit and needs assembly. You will need to wind the toroid with the magnet wire, solder the toroid and the BNC connector.
The kit contains: 1 PCB 1 female BNC connector 2 FT50-43 ferrite toroid (see also options) Enough magnet wire
The antenna wire mounting holes are suitable for wires up to 1.5mm diameter (with insulation). The holes can be extended with a driller for slightly thicker wires.
Working primarily QRP, often portable I wanted to have a minimal system as lightweight as possible. Often, antennas make up a considerable amount of space and weight of the overall system and I looked into ways to minimize this.
It's size and simplicity. The resulting antenna is lightweight, compact and can be deployed quickly.
