The 8266THSC01 is a wifi enabled board that reads temperature and humidity on request via TCP and returns the current on-site temperature and humidity. It includes reset and flash switches and can control up to 4 relays based on minimum and maximum temperature and humidity settings. The board can be configured to check if current temperature and humidity are within a range, and if they are outside that range, then a signal is triggered; this signal can feed logic circuits or small relays. The request for reading is done by sending via TCP on port 9999 a string of the form: THCwwwxxxyyyzzz Where: THC : command name www: minimum temperature limit for triggering xxx: maximum temperature limit for triggering yyy: minimum humidity limit for triggering zzz: maximum humidity limit for triggering For example, if you want to trigger the relays if the temperature is less than 32 or greater than 100, and humidity is less than 20% or greater than 90% then the string will have the form: THC032100020090 And the low temperature(LT) led and signal will be triggered when the temperature is less than 32, the high temperature(HT) led and signal will be triggered when the temperature is greater than 10, and so on for the humidity. The return message is in JSON format as follows: {"dth11": [{ "Temperature:": "27", "Humidity": "46",}]}
Configuring the board using a web browser • Connect the 5V power • Press board reset button • From your computer, check available wireless networks and connect to a network which name has the form ESP_STATION_xxxxxxx • When prompted, enter the password to the ESP_STATION. The preset password is ‘espadmin’ • Wait until your computer successfully connects to ESP_STATION_xxxxxxx • From your web browser and after station is connected enter the following address and wifi network SSID and password: http://192.168.4.1/?SSID=Your_SSID&Password=Your_password
• Reset the board • Enter once again http://192.168.4.1/?SSID=Your_SSID&Password=Your_password (or just press return on your browser) • Wait until your browser shows the IP address that has been assigned automatically to the board: ESP8266 WIFI module IP address is:192.168.1.xxx
• Take note of that IP address, this is the address for the board WIFI • You can now send TCP commands to the board IP address on port 9999 as explained above.
