The V2 Plus4 fixes the drift and linearity issues with older NanoVNA/S-A-A-2 based analyzers. The new design features improved isolation, less temperature drift, lowest measurement noise, and 4x faster sweep speed than other NanoVNA versions (6x faster for V2 Plus4 Pro). V2 Plus4 includes an all aluminum enclosure and 4 inch display.
NanoRFE/HCXQS's analyzers are the only VNAs in this cost range to include temperature drift cancellation, giving you repeatable and reliable measurements and allowing you to keep calibrations for longer. The V2 Plus4 series achieves 90% less trace noise than previous versions, <0.1dB measurement repeatability, and >90dB real dynamic range, making it the best value currently available on the market. For customers with higher requirements (0.01dB trace noise, 0.1dB repeatability, and 110dB dynamic range), we also have the VNA6000 series.
Beware of Aliexpress and Amazon knockoffs sold under names like SAA2 or L---VNA which are based on our earlier and outdated designs, and which exaggerate their specs. Update: Some clones have started hiding their noisy performance by software modifications that display a lower noise floor when measured value is below a threshold. This allows a higher dynamic range to be advertised, but can introduce measurement errors. As of 2024 only V2 Plus4 and VNA6000 versions are safe to buy, all else are clones! Only NanoRFE/HCXQS supplies VNAs verified by the original designers for good adherence to the design and performance.
V2 Plus4 versions now available for order: although the components shortage is worsening (original parts are harder to find while low quality counterfeits flood the market), we have finally secured ICs for another batch of NanoVNA V2 Plus4s, now available for order here. Cost of components are still rising, so we are uncertain how long we can maintain our current prices for. Nevertheless, we want to keep offering high performance test equipment at affordable prices, and will keep monitoring the components market to ensure best quality parts are used while keeping price increases minimal. New: V2 Plus4 Pro: When our engineers were developing the next generation VNA6000 series and were experimenting with ways to reduce receiver noise to the absolute minimum, we realized that by adding a specially designed IF filter in a critical stage of the signal path, we could offer much improved noise floor while still keeping costs reasonable. This also made it possible to measure narrowband devices like crystal filters. Originally called the "V2 Plus5", it was renamed to V2 Plus4 Pro to signify that it was fully compatible with the V2 Plus4 and runs the same firmware, software, and user interface.
Note: an attenuation of at least the gain of the amplifier should be used when measuring amplifiers.
