I have not been successful finding any more of these unopened MemTECH BPK-70 kits, but I have assembled some bulk components into equivalent kits available here

This is a new, unopened, 1Mbit magnetic bubble memory kit.

These are from my limited private stock, and may be available cheaper somewhere else. I do not keep track of the current going rate for bubbles. Of course you can also harvest bubble components from surplus boards. Personally, I would shy away from untested, pulled bubble chips since i have had pretty poor luck with the loose bubbles that I have purchased. If you come across any Intel bubble boards i may be interested in buying or trading. Especially the following: iSBC-254 iSBX 251, iPAB.

As seen in the photographs, the kits are branded MemTech which was the bubble memory spinoff from Intel. In the one I opened, the 7110A itself was Intel branded but I do not know about the others. I know that eventually the branding changed over to MemTech. Amazingly, the kits have been stapled shut for some 40 years.

This kit includes the 7110 bubble itself and the five support chips:

• 7230 Pulse Generator
• 7242 formatter / Sense amplifier
• 7250 coil pre-driver
• Two 7254 coil drivers

It DOES NOT include the 7220 bubble controller.

The 7220 was not included in the kit because it could drive multiples of these BPK-70 kits. Some of these kits are the -5 which was the extended temperature range version. In those versions, the bubbles and pulse generator were seemingly sold as matched sets which is why the pulse generator has the little label attached and number on the outside label.

Again, since these are unopened the contents may vary somewhat. For example, I know that eventually the packaging of the coil drivers was changed from the original ceramic with gold cap to plastic. The same for the dual formatter / sense amplifier. So some packages may have plastic chips rather than as seen in the photograph.
