What is it?

USB To Serial Adaptor (6 Pin FTDI Footprint Compatible) With USB Mini B Connector.

The Board Has ESD Protection Diodes On Vusb, D+ & D- And Unpopulated 0805 Pads For An ESD Suppression Network Tied To The USB Connector Shield (C5/R4). These Are Only Useful If You Put The Adapter In An Enclosure.

C5 = 100pF 0805 1000V MLCC
R4 = 1MΩ 0805 1000V Resistor

If You Need The USB Shield Grounded You Can Bridge C5 And R4 With Solder.

There Is A 3mm Hole To Attach A Keyring Or Lanyard.

I Have Had Bad Luck With The Handfull Of FTDI/CH340 Boards I Have Bought Over The Years. I Just Wanted Something That Works!

True 3.3v Operation*, Pogo Pins And Footprint For Normal/Right-Angle Headers.

*I Have Had An FTDI 5v/3.3v Device That In 3.3v Mode Puts 3.3v Out On The Power Pin But 5v On TX!!

I like this. Ordering another

Very good but hard to use the pogo pins without them slipping. It's not easy to solder them in straight. Probably best to apply a little tape to hold them if you don't want to solder them. Or use some tape and a 90degree corner to get them soldered properly.

Product works really nicely so I'm ordering another one.
