Read More…Delta robots are used in industrial food handling and other pick-and-place operations. They're very good at moving quickly sideways and small distances of up/down, all while keeping the tool holder pointing straight down. You may have seen them most recently in the Rostock 3D printers.
The robot understands gcode through the serial interface. It is meant as a simple hands-on tutorial in robotics.
2013-07-30: kit design has been updated for greater range of motion, improved repeatability, ease of manufacturing.
You will need an Arduino UNO, a USB cable, a small breadboard, some wires, and a power supply to complete the circuit.
