When choosing coated,expect some more days till delivery
What is it?
The b-parasite is a capacity based soil moisture sensor.
Why did you make it?
I made the assembley PCBs as part of a makerspace mega order and now I am selling the rest
What makes it special?
The project is zigbee based, so the network is low-power, easy to enhance the range and open source.
The device code is zephyr based and it is quite a nice project to base other devices off. Therefore it also is a nice experimentation platform. (at least it was for me)
What you get?
You can have a preflashed PCB with the zigbee example. This is usable as is as a soil sensor and will recognized in Homeassistant out of the box.
I am also including a coincell for you.
Other options include:
3D printed case
Waterproof coating for extra durability
Sorry but I am trying to stop selling coated boards, as it changes the calibration so much, that you have to find a new calibration curve for every sensor, if you really want to have it coated, let me know.
Other information
To reset your b-parasite board, press and hold the switch and shortly press the reset switch. Hold sw1 for 5 seconds. The paring will be reset and the sensor tries to join an open zigbee net.
