What is it?

The Riem Solder Badge is a very basic Airplane shaped soldering kit. It provides an ideal platform for teaching soldering and electronics. It is suitable for all ages.

The kit consists of a printed circuit board (100x60mm), 2 RGB 5mm Blink Leds, a CR2032 battery holder and a Pin so you can put it on your chest.

Why did you make it?

I designed this badge for the local library in Riem which will move into an old building of the former Riem airport. Munich.

What makes it special?

I have made many protoypes with my PCB mill to find out the best positions and components so the badge is perfectly balanced. I am still developing this badge further and will add a switch to it in v.3. I am open to make custom shaped boards for you with the same circuit.
