VPD, a key metric for predicting plant transpiration and water loss, is temperature-independent and more accurate than relative humidity. Maintaining a VPD greater than 0.5 kPa is critical for effective transpiration and helps prevent foliar diseases—making this sensor ideal for precise greenhouse climate control.
