What is it?

The Irdroid IoT SmartHub is a 802.11n Wireless Home Automation router, that will allow you to control your RF controlled Home appliances such as power sockets, radio controlled motorized Blinds, Shades and Pergolas. The Irdroid IoT SmartHub is a open source software and hardware project. It comes with all the source code, schematics and production files available for the end user to modify as per his needs. The Irdroid IoT SmartHub can be added to existing installations, where the user already have Radio controlled Home Appliances installed such as Blinds, Shades, Pergolas, Power sockets.

Why did you make it?

I was inspired by the rf-ctrl OSS project which provides software for controlling motorized blinds, shades, pergolas, etc. I also believe that there should be a open source hardware and software WiFi 802.11n Router available on the market that has ability to control existing appliances such as radio controlled garage doors, blinds, shades , pergolas etc.

What makes it special?

It is special because it is the only router that is truly open source hardware and open source software that provides interface for controlling motorized blinds shared, pergolas, garage doors and many more.
