Amazing LED light cube!

For LED Cube 6x6x6

I went with the soldered + pixelplaze + enclosure and am extremely happy with with the LED cube. It looks great and the pixelblaze was incredibly smooth to set up and add to my wifi network via web browser and then easily access and control from a web browser. (It's hard to state how happy I am that there's no need to install an app!) I'm intrigued by the prospect of using the wifi to programmatically display data on the cube via WebSockets, but we'll see if I get to that.

The shipping packaging was fantastic. My mail carrier probably could have drop kicked the box from the curb to my house and I suspect the cube would have been fine. The cube was extensively wrapped in that origami-3d-esque cardboard paper stuff which seemed to provide a great level of shock absorption as well as providing a significant amount of space between the cube and the outer box. The box was also fully packed which helped ensure the structural stability of the box.

Super neat interactive dense LED display

For CycloHex - hexagonally-nested rings with 228 LEDs

I bought a pair of these to experiment with displaying continuous integration test status on because the multiple rings and their arrangement is well suited towards "small multiples" style visualizations. I have not yet gotten to that, but I can confidently state that the cyclo-hexes look and work great, have interesting built-in patterns, and were very well packaged.

Wonderful pendant!

For Lux Lavalier - Wearable Light Art Pendant

Beautiful. Super easy to tweak the programming, even with a phone. Gets lots of ooh aahs too.

One flaw, the magnetic battery holder contact will easily let go, dropping the pendant. We backed oursup with a loop of yarn for the physical necklace. Might be better with a switch and wires.

Amazing Light Art Piece

For Fibonacci512 - 320mm disc with 512 WS2812B RGB LED

I love this piece of art. It's mesmerizing to watch all the different patterns. The animations are super fluid and the default settings are spot on for my environment (small bedroom/office with natural light coming in from two windows).

The only thing I would change about this would be to make the keyhole a little larger to accommodate my preferred wall mounting (Hangman Gold Bear Claw Hangers).

I'm super impressed and enamored with this piece of art!

This is a great little blinkenlight. It's so much fun that I turned around and bought the 256 LED version. :)
