What is it?

This module is a 4 channel light controller designed around an AVR Tiny 25/45/85. The module features an isolated mains supply with safety in mind. isolated slots are included in the PCB. The AVR output pins are buffered via a transistor and switching is performed by a Single in line relay.

Why did you make it?

My work colleague brought me a cheap Chinese light led controller. The design is very crude and live mains is exposed. No power regulation and no safety what so ever. The makes the design failure prominent.

A safe approach was taken to design a controller that can withstand 230V A.C loads, and maintain the modes offered by the chinese controller.
