What is it?

The ADX MINI CAT USB to Serial Adapter was specially designed to interface with the ADX-Mini Board version 1.2 or 1.3 to allow the CAT feature in Firmware V 1.4a control the mode and band of the ADX-Mini.

Why did you make it?

The ADX-MINI v1.2 and 1.3 was designed to provide a serial connection from a USB port on a Computer device. The adapter fits easily on the side of the ADX-MINI. With this adapter the ADX-MINI is easily upgraded to use a USB port.

The board features a CH340 USB to Serial Chip and power is provided from the USB port.

What makes it special?

With the ADX-CAT adapter the CAT features can be used. Thus changing of band and mode is possible. Provided the correct filter is installed prior to changing the band.
