Read More…This kit is an Inductance and Capacitance Meter using an AVR ATmega328P and an franklin oscillator. All credits goes to Nobcha from Japan for his work and who introduced me to this project.
The working principle is very simple, during initial calibration the free running oscillator frequency is measured and when a component L or C needs to be measured the running oscillator will shift its frequency. With both frequencies available the processor runs some formulas (some math... ) where finally the capacitance or inductance is accurately Calculated.
I needed to measure several inductors used in various projects. I've built the nobcha version but i wanted one board with all components on it !
The board hosts all the circuits and uses simple components. it can be assembled in an hour or so !
