What is it?

If you are the owner of a reflow SMD oven T962 OR T962/A or any variant like it, You will definitely encounter the issues of irregular heating profiles, noisy fan issues.

Why did you make it?

After checking around the internet , I opted to design this board so that I won't have a lot of loose electronics running in my re-flow oven. The board has the three optional circuits and programming interface.

What makes it special?

The board has the following features

1 x minus 3 volts step down negative converter: to supply -3v to the op-amp which provides better temperature readings by using the cold junction temperature reading.

1 x Fan speed circuit with mosfet: controls the fan speed from menu

1 x Cold junction temperature compensation by using a DS18B20 sensor near the thermo-couple connector

1 x In Service Programming interface with switches to put the oven in programming mode : RS232 Connector header.

the board measures 55 x 29 mm and it can be placed very easy near the controller board. Supplied Ready Built and tested

N.B: To use these features you need to upgrade the firmware as described on the UnifiedEngineering Third party software Github page.

I do not provide support for third party software! ie: regarding uploading the firmware from (UnifiedEngineering). It works just follow the instructions on their page.

This upgrade mod is only to correct the temperature measurements, control of fan to improve its reliability and longevity and thus does not remove any other T962 imperfections caused by infrared heating and air temperature measurement, the left side is lower temperature than the right. Suggestion is to put a circulating fan to overcome this issue.
