Acknowledgement: ADX stands for Arduino Digital Xceiver and it was originally conceived and designed by Barb WB2CBA. The key features of the ADX architecture include a CD2003GP receiver chip and a class-E RF amplifier. The ADX firmware runs on an AtMega 328 micro-controller and uses the Arduino IDE for firmware development.   The ADX-MINI, ADX-MI2 and ADX-MI3 were designed by Scott KJ7NLA and are modifications of the original ADX design.   A heartfelt appreciation goes to Barb for the original ADX design, and to Scott for his ongoing enhancements to the ADX family of transceivers.

Note on the Filter Module : ADX-Mini and ADX-MI2 Band filters are not compatible with this Version ADX-MI3

The ADX-MI3 LPF Modules have a band ID for verification of band selection

The ADX-MI3 is a digital mode HF transceiver covering bands from 160m to 12m and supporting FT8, FT4, JS8, and WSPR. Although technically a mono-band radio, multi-band capability is achieved by the use of pluggable band modules.   The ADX-MI3 is based on the earlier ADX-MI2 project. Improvements over the ADX-MI2 include:

Improved the board design : Current Version 1.3 -

·         A 128X32 OLED screen (replaces LED indicators on the ADX-MI2 , ADX-MINI)

·         A simpler user interface and one-button operation for Tune Mode

·         New Low Pass Filters Modules with band ID for verification of band selection

·         Upgraded USB-C to Gold Plated connector.

·         A PTC fuse on the 12V line

·         An I2C connector for possible future enhancements

The ADX-MI3 is supplied pre-built and tested with a 20M filter.

The TX achieves approx. 5W tested on 20M (other bands may vary).
