What is it?

While using the Modified Quansheng uv-k5 on the H.F ham bands , I noticed that a strong signal was leaking on the band. Further investigations revealed that the station was a local one from the F.M portion.

To attenuate the F.M broadcast band a 5 stage chebyshev low pass filter was designed with cut off points of 40 and 70 MHz.

Why did you make it?

Since the FM broadcast stations were very strong , I decided to fit the filter in a inline pcb with sma male - female connectors so as the filter would allow the H.F Bands and attenuate from 40 MHz up. This will make reception of H.F bands more pleasant. The Nano vna pic shows attenuation from 40MHz onward
