What is it?

This module was designed to solve the drift issue in the WSPR beacon project. It includes a 25 MHz TCXO with 2 PPM accuracy, a low-dropout regulator, and a pi filter on the power supply line to reduce any supply noise and keep it stable. The module connects to the 4-pin side connector on the WSPR beacon, reducing drift from +3/4 to 0.

Why did you make it?

To address the drift issue, I decided to upgrade the 25 MHz crystal to a TCXO. This was challenging and required solving several issues to ensure the new TCXO functioned properly. The board effectively eliminates drift, stabilizing the WSPR beacon’s clock. With this module installed, transmissions remain stable, and the TX carrier does not drift.

What makes it special?

The board comes pre-assembled, requiring only two wires to be soldered to the WSPR beacon.
