This is a portable, pocket sized tester for testing shielded or unshielded Cat5/6 cables, including etherCON. It will cycle through all 8 conductors for continuity as well as the shield if applicable.

I found that none of the Cat5/6 cable testers on the market were compatible with etherCON connectors, which is very common in modern A/V systems. This is a solution that doesn't require you to disassemble the connector and remove the shell to test. The SHOP CAT will cycle through each conductor and light the LED on the receive side to diagnose broken connection and/or any mismatched conductors. Refer to the video below to see it in action!
