Unhappily, TI stopped its fabrication long time ago.

If you need an hexadecimal digit, no other choice, all 7-segments drivers are decimal (the MCP14495 hex driver also disappeared years ago).

Brightness of the TSL Leds (1980 Leds) may be the only problem of the TIL311; there is no way to adjust the LED's brightness.

But the TSL311 is so simple to implement: no resistors, DIL package, 9 pins to wire. It is well documented on the Web.

I saved several from unsold 2005 testers. The ones I used were all good, I expect the same for the others and I will not test them. Note you can buy only one set of 4 displays, for your own projects. More will not be accepted, sorry.

The product arrived, and I am very satisfied!

Due to my own mistake, the first attempt to deliver the package failed, I had provided an incorrect address.
When the item returned to the sender, he contacted me and we worked out the details so that I could receive the product.
The items arrived safely and are exactly as described, and I’m looking forward to using them in a project!

A great product, terrible packaging

The displays were as described and all appear to work well. Unfortunately the packaging was terrible, very thin foam around the pins and display in a regular envelope. The result was all the displays had bent pins, some quite badly bent. Fortunately the pins are quite forgiving and I was able to straighten them without breaking any. In future can I suggest you use more robust packaging as the postal service is far from gentle.
