Read More…I have sold every heart I have and wouldn't be able to get more PCB's in time for Valentines Day 2017. I don't plan to make more until next year.
The necklace pendant measures 1.5” tall and 1.75” across and weighs 8 grams. Each earring measures 1” tall and 1.13” across and weighs 4 grams. The circuit boards (PCB) are bright red with white silkscreen heart designs. The electronics on the front are protected by a clear, domed jewelry resin.
A power switch sits next to a coin cell battery on the back, which powers the microcontroller. The 2 red LED’s flash in a heartbeat pattern. The "heart rate" is dependent on temperature. The necklace has a temperature sensor on the back which should pick up your body heat. The earrings use the temperature sensor built into the microcontroller.
The necklace pendant comes hanging by a jump-ring on an 18" white silicon necklace cord, but could be used in many different ways. The earrings come on silver plated earring hooks.
These are designed and assembled by myself.
The battery in the necklace should last about two months. The battery in the earrings should last about a month of continuous use.
